California will always be home for me. I lived in the Golden State for about twenty-nine years, leaving when I was age 30. I've lived all over the state--the Bay Area, San Diego, Northern California (Shasta County), Sacramento, Palm Springs and Hemet to name a few places. One of the reasons I want to retire in southern Nevada is to be able to frequent California easily--to visit some of my favorite haunts--including Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Palm Springs. After being away for about thirty-years, it will be coming full-circle, allowing me to revisit places where I lived during my youth.
